Partners Group and Peakside JV starts construction of the next phase at City Point Targówek

The joint venture between Partners Group, one of the largest firms in the global private markets industry, acting on behalf of its clients, and Peakside Capital Advisors, an operating partner in investment and asset management in the European logistics sector, has launched the construction of the C2 facility at City Point Targówek. The light industrial building will offer 25,000 sqm of space with units starting from 1,000 sqm. Depenbrock Poland is the general contractor for the project.

The C2 building is currently under construction in Targówek, Warsaw, offering more than 25,000 sqm of space, of which 3,000 sqm will be modern office space. The building will offer urban logistics & industrial units ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 sqm, to accommodate a wide range of uses including manufacturing & storage.

The project is characterized by its commitment to sustainability, being one of few highly sustainable brownfield re-development, targeting BREEAM Outstanding and LEED Platinum certifications. It involves the re-development of buildings which were obsolete and energy intensive.

Roman Skowroński, Managing Director in Peakside Capital Advisors comments: “It is important to remember that the City Point Targówek site has a rich history dating back to the 1950s, when the first industrial & warehouse halls were built. By investing here, we are reclaiming an area within an extremely attractive location, returning it to its former glory. Brownfield re-developments such as the one in Targówek are more environmentally friendly because they revitalize already developed land rather than urbanizing new land. This helps reduce pressure on new land and contributes to the sustainable development of the city.”

The facility will be equipped with ultra-modern energy-saving technologies including photovoltaic power systems and intelligent industrial facility management systems. In addition, 8,000 sqm of green areas around the C2 building are planned to be revitalized.

The next phases of the park’s redevelopment will see the construction of four additional buildings to accommodate logistics, e-commerce, and other tenants looking for urban logistics space or quality manufacturing and warehouse space. When completed, the City Point Targówek park will total 100,000 sqm.
